No un-grouping should be necessary - if you select the new Action, and an Action that's already in a group, then choosing "Group -> Group selected" ought to add it.
Is that not the case for you? Which AC version are you using?
How odd! And this is occurring only for Interactions - or are any Cutscenes in the same scene also having this issue?
Don't save changes to this scene - make a copy and work in there. Do you have a recent backup?
Are you using any custom Actions…
Is this an issue you can recreate each time you play? Is this issue limited to Builds, or does it occur in the Editor as well?

Welcome to the community, @Brontes.
Sorry to hear the trouble. Yes, that does sound correct - AC won't adjust the Canvas resolution through code.

That's as expected - while gameplay is blocked, saving is possible.
Saving is prevented if you are in a Conversation, if a gameplay-blocking ActionList is running, or if the user has enforced it with the Engine: Manage systems Action.
Try my earlier suggestion of using the New Game Wizard to isolate the Menu in a separate game. I can't yet see what, but I suspect there is some other factor in your project that's causing this unwanted behaviour.
Attach the Remember Footstep Sounds component to the Player to record which footstep sounds are currently being used.
However, the method of changing sounds has changed recently - what's your AC version? Rather than using Triggers and manually cha…
The cursor can be moved through script, but so far our attempts to move it to the centre still results in the previous position being the one that is used for selection. If we can "catch" it and lock the cursor before this occurs, then we…
The 2nd and 3rd links are the same - can you share the script again?
Does the variable change value outside of the Options menu?
It would be worth using the New Game Wizard to create a new AC game within the same project (back up first), and then …
