Hi all
I'm looking to create a 2D RPG with a touch of survival about it. I've moved from GameCreator as their 2D support was lagging behind their 3D support.
Does Adventure Creator support 2D fully? That is, if a new feature is released, will it support 3D until enough fuss is made about 2D?
Things I want to think about are clearly, inventories, quests, triggers, events, object interactions, etc etc etc.
The videos seem good, but clearly the videos won't show where it's weak, and that's what Im after.

Welcome to the community, @OllyMUK.
The videos are designed to show what AC is intended for - traditional adventure games. That is, those with a focus on storytelling and puzzles over RPG mechanics such as combat and damage systems.
It's certainly possible to extend AC - see the Manual's "Integrating new code" chapter for details - but programming experience is necessary.
On the topic of 2D, AC gives equal attention to both 2D and 3D, and features are transferrable between the two wherever possible. Inventories, objectives, triggers, custom events and interactions are available for 2D games as they are 3D.
What aspect(s) in particular are you looking to learn more about?
