Exporting project to new PC

I've been putting off migrating my project to a new PC for a while now, as I was afraid of messing things up. Could you please provide some guidance on what I need to save/export before starting the transition, and how I would go about restoring everything on the new computer? I have saved the project directory, so I figured I'll install Unity on the new computer (does it have to be the same build as before?), then AC, then copy the project into the Unity project directory. When I open the project, do I have to link it to AC again somehow, do I need to save project preferences and AC setting separately? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Best to use the same Unity version if you can, yes.

Copy/pasting the entire project folder should then be enough. No need to "re-link" AC again if it's already present in the project. The project' settings will be copied over as well, as they're inside the ProjectSettings subfolder.
