change scene and player position

This has probably been discussed before, but I can't find a solution:
I have three scenes, technically arranged like this: left, center, and right. When I switch from one scene to another, the player returns to its starting position. But if I switch from the right scene to the center scene, I'd like the player start to be on the right of the screen. I've tried the "Previous scene" function on Player Start, but it doesn't work properly.
